Experience More with the Internet

OK, Mum, so here are a few ideas about how you can start having some fun with the Internet. First of all, let's start with your home page. That's that one that comes up automatically when you open the Internet. It's good to have a play with it, and to really get to know it. The first picture is my home page, which is with Optus. Yours, as you know is the Telstra BigPond page. There must be a lot of fun stuff on it, and ways to personalise your own home page so that you can check our astrology, create your own web site for family photos or have your own "Table Tennis Superstar Home Page"

Your Introduction to the Internet

Mum, I've just found a few things that might be fun for you to start your journey through the Internet. I've created this blog for you, and you can leave a comment by clicking on the 'comment' link at the end of each entry, and after you leave a comment for me it will be e-mailed to me. Anyway, forget all that. I'll show you what I mean. What I wanted to do was just to give you a few interesting links. The first is "Fun Introduction to the Internet", and when you click on it, you will be taken to a whole page of links to that topic. You will also love a web site called "Post Secrets" where people write a secret on the back of a postcard that they create. I'll check out my blog, and see what other interesting links I can find. Meanwhile, don't forget to have a look at Google, whick allows you to search for anything that you want to. All you have to do is select a topic - eg. 'real estate Melbourne', and the search results will come up within seconds. Happy surfing, and lots of love.
